El Jaguar first appeared in Daredevil #120-123 (April-July 1975), and was created by Tony Isabella and Bob Brown. He subsequently appeared in Captain America #319 (July 1986), where he was killed by the Scourge of the Underworld.
El Jaguar was a Latin American costumed criminal, who was the head of the Commando Division of HYDRA under Silvermane's New York faction. He was a devoted leader who took pride in leading his crack troops into battle, until his defeat by Daredevil and Nick Fury’s S.H.I.E.L.D. forces.[1]
El Jaguar attended the meeting at the “Bar With No Name,” and was slaughtered by the Scourge of the Underworld along with all the other criminals who attended.[2]
El Jaguar can see in the dark, has heightened speed, strength and agility. He has a pair of gloves with razor-sharp claws on each finger that he can attack with, or scale buildings.
